2026 IP rider rules guide
What changed for Integrated Shield Plan riders in 2026?
From 1 April 2026, new riders cannot cover the MOH minimum IP deductible, while the minimum annual co-payment cap rises to S$6,000 excluding that deductible.Open rider scenario calculator →Three core mechanics
- Deductible first
A new rider cannot cover the MOH minimum IP deductible. Multiple bills in the same policy year can add towards it.
- Minimum 5% co-payment remains
The co-payment is calculated on the eligible amount after the deductible applied to that bill.
- Annual cap excludes the deductible
The new minimum co-payment cap is S$6,000 a year and applies only when policy conditions are met, such as panel or pre-authorised claims.
Mechanics used by the calculator
